It can be used as a margin aquatic plant. Commonly it is grown as a house plant needing about 1-2 hours of morning sunlight throughout the year.  Maintain evenly moist soil and fertilize using a basic houseplant fertilizer in the spring and summer, every 4th watering, reducing to every 6th in colder months.  Height is 9-12” x 12-14” width.  Outdoors, give it morning sun and afternoon shade.  If leaves turn yellow with crispy patches, it is lacking enough water.  Although a Juncus is almost impossible to overwater, be sure to allow some drainage if you have a tendency to overwater your plants. Misting is not recommended, as the near-constant moisture in its soil is enough.  Always water with lukewarm water.  If using tap water, let it sit for 24 hours before application.  The roots are sensitive to temperature change. \u003cbr\u003e\u003cbr\u003eSeed sowing instructions:  This method attempts germination in warm temps, but may need to be cold stratified if no germination, so start at least 10 weeks before last frost date.  Sow seed in pots or flats of moistened seed starting mix and cover seed thinly with fine grit or a little dry seed-starting mix and spritz with water to moisten.  Cover and keep in warm temperatures. If seed does not germinate within 1-2 weeks, place the covered pot or tray into a cold area such as a refrigerator or cold garage for four weeks.  Bring back into warm temperatures, provide light, keep moist and watch for germination.
