Yu Choy Sum is very sensitive to temperature. Exposure below 50-55°F may result in bolting. Optimal growth temperature range is 60-80°F. \u003cbr\u003e\u003cbr\u003eDirect Sow - Sow seeds into have been amended with a 2-inch layer of compost. Plant seeds 1\/4 to 1\/2 inch deep. Make sure you plant three seeds every 12 to 18 inches.  Sow seeds in early spring or late summer. In Mediterranean climates, this means March or April for spring crops and August or September for fall crops. Sow new rows of choy sum every two or three weeks so that you'll have a consistent supply during the cooler months.
